How it works
Parent-Guardian Tour
We encourage parents to begin the application process with a visit to our campus to experience
morning assembly and meet Mr. Reed. Please contact the school office for an appointment at (805) 745-8448. You may also choose to schedule a classroom observation session as it is useful to observe both the grade for which your application is being made as well as the subsequent grade. You are also encouraged to attend upcoming school events in which you may have an interest.
Application
Complete the application form and return it to The Howard School, accompanied by a nonrefundable application fee of $100 ($50 for each additional sibling). Please make check payable to The Howard School.
Records & Recommendations
(First through Eighth Grade)
Sign the Transcript Request and Teacher Evaluation forms and give to the applicant’s current teacher to complete. The applicant’s school should return both forms directly to The Howard School.
Parent-Tuition Assistance Form
If tuition assistance is requested, complete the Tuition Assistance form and return with your
application for admission. Requests for tuition assistance received on or before the submission
deadline will be given priority. Late requests will be considered based on available funds.
